When a client contacts us for website design our first step is to determine the role of the website. Is it to provide information? Is to to be a gateway for sales or services? Or, is it to showcase past projects via testimonial videos and photos. No two websites are identical so we ascertain what the client wants and provide a path to meet their expectations. Many times clients wish to take control of their websites and provide maintenace themselves without learning code. This can be accomplished with WordPress sites where owners or staff post updates, news, photos and videos themselves. If they run into problems we are always there to help. Other times a HTML site works best and we can provide the maintenance.

A common question is how much does a website cost? Since each site is unique we provide a fixed price based on client needs. Much of this is determined on the size of the site (number of pages), whether or not the client has acceptable photos (or needs a photo shoot to best display their product/service) and whether or not training is required if the owner wishes to update the site themselves.

It's a good idea to watch your other maintenance requirements too. Your Google My Business listing, Google Maps, Bing listing and Bing Maps promote your business for free. However, it's important to keep these sites updated with your store hours, holiday hours, photos and even the correct location of your map marker. An organization needs to install the SSL Certificate onto its web server to initiate a secure session with browsers. Once a secure connection is established, all web traffic between the web server and the web browser will be secure.

When a certificate is successfully installed on your server, the application protocol (also known as HTTP) will change to HTTPs, where the ‘S’ stands for ‘secure’. Depending on the type of certificate you purchase and what browser you are surfing the Internet on, a browser will show a padlock or green bar in the browser when you visit a website that has an SSL Certificate installed.
