Community Living logo

45 Degrees Latitude was recently chosen to create a video for Community Living Prince Edward funded by the Ministry of Labour.  The purpose of the video is to prevent workplace injuries, specifically MSDs -Musculoskeletal Disorders to workers that provide support to persons requiring assistance.

MSDs are injuries to soft tissues of the body and can be prevented.  MSDs are typically a sprain, strain, or tendonitis created by  pushing, pulling, lifting, fixed or awkward postures and repetition.

The video will feature select staff and a Kinesiologist explaining proper lifting and ambulatory techniques.  Expected completion date is the end of March 2016.  The video will be hosted on YouTube and embedded on various websites for staff training.
