SEO Tip- Create A Profile On Many Websites

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) has 2 main parts: optimizing your pages, then creating inbound links.  An inbound link is a link on a website linking to your website url. Developing links can be a chore when you’re starting out.

Submitting to free directories used to be a good strategy although there’s rumor that Google may start penalizing you for it. The best way is to get associates you do business with to link to you. Also County, Township, BIA and other local business directories are great ways to build links- for free.

Another way is to submit a profile to sites whose aim is to solicit business for you.  These sites let you build a profile and oftentimes submit your valuable url which will display publicly. This includes social media sites like LinkedIn, FB and Twitter.  If you provide a service you might try www.freelance.com or www.ifreelance.com or www.elance.com

Depending upon your business or profession sites exist that will allow you to profile your services. These sites charge a small commission for services when you book a job through their site . Some sites don’t allow you to post your url since potential clients my contact you directly. Others may let you post urls only in an upgraded account. Still others will let you include your url in the body of the profile text.

Do some searching and build these free links. Every links counts for improving your search engine ranking!
